Things I came to know about Saumya:

  1. Her mom is quite well-known. She has worked in CSR roles for various organizations and has won many awards. You can view her profile here: https://www.wef.org.in/sonia-shrivastava/

  2. Her parents had a love marriage and have an age difference of 15 years.

  3. She has read around 200–300 novels. Her favorite ones are A Dangerous Fortune and The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. Other authors she likes include Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl, and Carolyn Keene.

  4. She has read only one non-fiction book - Feeling Good: The New Mood Therap, which she picked up during a phase of depression.

  5. She’s currently looking for roles in Product Management, Product Marketing (PMM), Strategy, or Consulting.

Special moments from this week:

  1. I honestly liked it when she took the time to reply, saying she went AWOL because of interviews but came back because of my email.

  2. For the first time, she asked, “How have you been?” A small thing, but I really liked it.

Thoughts:

We talked very little this week. Saumya was busy with interviews, and I was busy shifting back to my previous place.

I just feel like we have somewhat similar lives, but with slightly different trajectories.

Sometimes she just goes silent without saying anything, and I don’t know if it’s because she’s busy or because of something I said or replied with. :P
